Role Overview

The Memory Wrapper Validation & AI Integration Engineer will be tasked with creating and supporting memory wrappers for both third-party and in-house memory technologies. This position will involve verifying functionalities of memory wrappers and ensuring they integrate smoothly within the AMD design ecosystem.

Experience Level

This role is suitable for candidates with a background in computer engineering or electrical engineering, offering opportunities for both early and mid-career professionals.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Collaborate with engineers to verify new and existing memory wrapper features.
  • Create and document test plans that consider multiple system interactions.
  • Develop directed and random verification tests.
  • Debug failures to identify root causes and collaborate with RTL and memory engineers to rectify design issues.
  • Evaluate functional and code coverage metrics, adjusting tests as necessary to meet requirements.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A strong understanding of SRAM/ROM/ECC architectures and their operational requirements.
  • Experience in debugging RTL and modifying testbenches.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as C-shell, Makefile, Perl, Python, and TCL in UNIX.
  • Knowledge of Verilog/RTL, liberty files, spice simulations, and ASIC design flows.
  • Experience integrating AI into verification processes.

Education Requirements

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
