Role Summary

The Memory Wrapper Validation & AI Integration Engineer will focus on verifying and testing memory wrapper designs, ensuring they meet AMD's strict functionality and performance standards, while also integrating AI to enhance memory feature development.

Experience Level

This position is suitable for candidates with a solid background in ASIC design and verification, practical experience with memory systems, and familiarity with AI integration processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify features that require verification.
• Create comprehensive test plans to account for various interactions with hardware and software.
• Develop and run directed and random verification tests to ensure robust performance.
• Diagnose test failures, collaborating with RTL and memory engineers to identify and resolve issues.
• Analyze code coverage metrics to improve testing processes as necessary.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of SRAM, ROM, and ECC architectures.
• Experience in debugging RTL and modifying testbenches effectively.
• Familiarity with scripting and programming languages including C-shell, Perl, Python, and TCL.
• Understanding of Verilog/RTL design, liberty files, spice simulation, and ASIC design workflows.
• Knowledge of AI applications within design flows is a plus.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required for this role.
