Role Overview

The Lead Product Application Engineer will be part of the Silicon Applications and Documentation engineering team. This role involves leading a collaborative team to assist customers with ACAP/FPGA technologies, focusing on complex IPs and memory interfaces for applications such as image sensors and IoT. You will serve as a vital link between engineering teams and customer support.

Experience Level

This position is suitable for candidates with a strong background in engineering, particularly in the fields of FPGA or ASIC design, who possess significant communication and problem-solving abilities.

Core Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Creating customer documentation, including datasheets, architecture manuals, and product guides.
• Validating and characterizing memory/IO interfaces and other critical FPGA features.
• Constructing custom designs using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Addressing and resolving escalated customer support issues.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent communicative skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven project planning and execution effectiveness.
• A background in FPGA or ASIC design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of memory interfaces.
• Experience with silicon bring-up and hardware debugging.
• Expertise in RTL development and verification.
• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
