Job Title

Lead MTS, Analog Engineering

Role Summary

Lead hands-on member of technical staff focused on analog circuit characterization, silicon bring-up, and test development for mixed-signal/analog products. Works within the analog engineering team and coordinates with design, verification, and manufacturing to validate performance and resolve silicon issues.

Primary mission: define and execute characterization and test plans, debug silicon in the lab, and enable product readiness for production.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 8+ years of relevant industry experience in analog IC characterization, lab bring-up, or test development.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and execute analog and mixed-signal silicon bring-up, characterization, and reliability tests.
  • Design and maintain test setups, fixtures, and automated test scripts (Python, LabVIEW, or similar).
  • Debug silicon issues using instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, source-measure units, etc.) and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, and manufacturing teams to close issues and release silicon to production.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional lab activities.
  • Document test procedures, results, and validation reports; maintain lab safety and equipment calibration records.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Significant hands-on experience with analog IC bring-up, characterization, and test development.
  • Proficiency with lab instruments and automated test equipment; experience writing test automation scripts (Python, LabVIEW, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for silicon-level issues.
  • Experience leading technical tasks and mentoring engineers.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with mixed-signal systems, high-speed I/O, or power management analog blocks.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing/test flow and production test considerations.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (MATLAB, Pandas) and version control for test code.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
