Position Summary
The IP Design Engineer focuses on planning, building, and executing RTL design work for both new and existing features of AMD’s MMHUB IP. The objective is to ensure that the final design is free from bugs, contributing to the overall reliability of the product.
Experience Level
This position requires a background in IP level ASIC design, with a strong proficiency in RTL coding and verification. Candidates should be versed in collaborating with cross-functional teams in diverse work environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop new features.
- Create design MAS documentation addressing interactions with various system components.
- Estimate time requirements for implementing new feature RTL and modifications.
- Work alongside DV engineers to troubleshoot and resolve test discrepancies.
- Analyze functional and coverage metrics, assisting in test case modifications as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++.
- Experience using UVM testbenches in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Keen understanding of the AXI protocol and automation in distributed computing.
- Hands-on experience with UVM concepts, as well as familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby.
- Leadership or mentorship experience is a plus.
Education Requirements
A Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
