Intern - 12 Month Placement

Role Summary

This 12-month internship at Cadence Design Systems provides hands-on experience using industry-leading IC design tools on real-world engineering challenges. Interns will engage in technical design and verification problems across various disciplines including analog and digital design, design verification, integrated circuits, and PCB design.

Experience Level

Entry-level, suitable for students currently enrolled in a university degree program.

Responsibilities

Interns will:

• Join a professional engineering team and contribute to live projects.
• Engage directly with customers to understand real challenges and requirements.
• Build technical knowledge in electronic design automation through practical application of Cadence tools.
• Participate in structured technical training courses.
• Experience daily work in the semiconductor industry and learn about the latest technologies.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and attend seminars and technical discussions.
• Develop expertise in Cadence tools and methodologies with significant opportunities for personal growth.

Requirements

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Must be currently enrolled in a relevant university degree program (e.g., Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics).
• Placement must be part of an accredited degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the internship.
• Valid visa required, if applicable, covering the entire placement period.
