IC Design Exploration Intern

Role Summary

The IC Design Exploration Intern position at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) offers current university students based in Singapore the opportunity to immerse themselves in the field of IC design. Interns will start their journey in either May or July 2026, working closely with a dynamic team across various disciplines, primarily within the SerDes Technology team.

Experience Level

This internship is tailored for current students pursuing a degree at an accredited university in Singapore, applicable for undergraduates and graduate students alike. No prior work experience is necessary, but relevant coursework in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Interns will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Getting acquainted with the Singapore Design Team and IC design fundamentals.
- Participating in technical discussions to enhance communication and technical presentation skills.
- Collaborating on projects depending on specialization areas, which may include analog design, digital design, and functional verification.

Requirements

Ideal candidates should exhibit:
- Strong foundational knowledge in IC design concepts.
- Experience or coursework in VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog is preferred.
- Essential scripting skills in languages like Python or Perl.
- Ability to work effectively in team environments and demonstrate excellent problem-solving capabilities.
