IC Design Exploration Intern

Role Summary

The IC Design Exploration Intern position at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) offers students the chance to work on cutting-edge technology in the AI ecosystem while gaining hands-on experience in IC design. Interns will collaborate with experts across various disciplines in Singapore and develop foundational technical knowledge in analog and digital design.

Responsibilities

Interns will engage in a series of responsibilities designed to enhance technical skills and knowledge:

• Take part in an onboarding process with the Singapore Design Team to strengthen foundational IC design knowledge.
• Develop communication and presentation skills through participation in technical discussions and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Work on projects based on area of specialization, contributing to team efforts and exploring various aspects of IC design.
• Participate in social, departmental, and company events throughout the internship.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a strong academic background alongside relevant skills and attributes:

• A current student pursuing a degree, master’s, or PhD in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Demonstrated interest in IC design and eagerness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or similar beneficial.
• A willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Education Requirements

Current enrollment in a relevant degree program at a recognized university in Singapore is essential for this position. Students must ensure the ability to provide a placement/support letter from their institution, covering the duration of the internship.
