Role Overview
The Hardware Release Engineer position is aimed at recent graduates or early-career engineers looking to thrive in a collaborative environment within Synopsys. Position Summary
As a Hardware Release Engineer, you will engage in a range of tasks tied to hardware release processes, ensuring the quality and reliability of Synopsys's Mixed Signal Intellectual Property (MSIP) products. You will work closely with R&D and application engineering teams, contributing to customer satisfaction through technological innovation.
Experience Level
This is an early-career role suitable for candidates who have recently graduated or are in their final year of study, with foundational knowledge in hardware engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and verify DDR, HBM, and UCIe PHY components.
- Support debugging, validation, and verification to ensure quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with R&D and Application Engineering teams for timely issue resolution.
- Document workflows and generate release notes for various packages.
- Analyze release processes and drive improvements through statistics collection.
- Adapt to additional engineering tasks as needed, fostering team growth.
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a final-year student.
- Fundamental knowledge of analog and digital design flows.
- Experience in UNIX/Linux environments.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, TCL, or Perl.
- Strong English communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new tools and processes.
- Familiarity with Synopsys design tools and prior SOC design/verification knowledge is preferred.
