Role Summary

This internship role within Advanced Micro Devices focuses on hardware design verification, contributing to the development and testing of high-performance machine intelligence products.

Experience Level

This position is suited for students currently enrolled in bachelor's degree programs, particularly those studying electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields.

Responsibilities

The selected intern will engage in diverse assignments, including:

  • Collaborating with senior engineers to create verification test plans and simulation test cases.
  • Writing tracking and resource management scripts using Perl/Python.
  • Participating in test regression flows to support project development.
  • Reviewing tools and processes for improving efficiency and reducing duplication.
  • Debugging and refining test cases, as well as Verilog/System Verilog coding.
  • Building test platforms and performing system-level tests.
  • Conducting production validation tasks to ensure hardware and software integration.

Requirements

Applicants should possess relevant technical skills, including experience with programming languages (C++, Python, Perl), a solid understanding of digital systems, and familiarity with both hardware and software design principles.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a university in Canada, majoring in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
