Role Overview

The Hardware Design Verification Engineer Intern position is a hands-on role that involves supporting the testing and verification of AMD’s Machine Intelligence products. The internship is designed for students currently enrolled in relevant engineering programs.

Experience Requirements

Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with hardware design and verification processes is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers to create verification test plans and simulation cases.
  • Write scripts to manage compute resources using languages such as Perl and Python.
  • Test regression flows to support project development.
  • Enhance simulation performance and team efficiency by reviewing new tools.
  • Debug and improve test cases/models and coding in Verilog/System Verilog.
  • Build test platforms and conduct system-level tests.
  • Perform production validation and low-level testing of hardware/software features.

Qualifications

Candidates should be proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Perl, with a solid understanding of digital systems, hardware/software design, and relevant lab equipment. Knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, and logic design principles is beneficial.
