Role Overview
This internship is aimed at students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in hardware design engineering focusing on AMD's Machine Intelligence products. Interns will be part of a team responsible for significant projects that influence large-scale technological advancements.

This position is suitable for students currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor's degree program and is aimed at those who are seeking practical experience in their field of study.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will engage in several tasks including:
- Collaboration with design engineers for ASIC design verification and implementation.
- Memory interface simulations including GDDR7, HBM, and UCIE.
- Work on embedded systems and hardware product integration.
- Participation in RTL design utilizing Verilog.
- Synthesis while considering power optimizations and timings.
- Conducting floor planning, power and clock distribution, and various analysis tasks related to chip design and testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Enrollment in a Canadian university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of semiconductor physics and digital circuits.
- Familiarity with Verilog/VHDL and UVM methodologies.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Interest in machine learning and ASIC design concepts.
Education Requirements
Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in relevant engineering disciplines is mandatory.
