Role Summary

The Graphics (GPU) Design Verification Engineer will play a crucial role within the GPU Shader Core team, focusing on the development and optimization of graphics processor microarchitectures. This role involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines to verify and deliver innovative features for Apple's GPUs.

Experience Level

This position requires candidates with a foundational engineering background, preferably with a bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science. Experience with programming and design verification is essential for success.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Modifying and maintaining UVM-based verification test bench components.
  • Developing and maintaining object-oriented functional models.
  • Creating comprehensive constrained random test suites for testing.
  • Running simulations and debugging design and environmental issues.
  • Analyzing functional coverage and enhancing the test environment to address coverage gaps.
  • Collaborating with GPU microarchitecture and design teams to refine features and specifications.

Requirements

Successful candidates should meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or computer science field with coursework in Computer Architecture.
  • Experience in C++ or a similar object-oriented programming language.
  • Familiarity with Verilog or other hardware description languages (HDLs).

Education Requirements

A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or computer science is required. A Master’s degree with advanced coursework in Computer Architecture is preferred.
