Role Overview

The Graduate Trainee - Silicon Design Engineer (SoC) role is specifically designed for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience in silicon design engineering. The position involves participating in design projects across various domains, including Physical Design, Frontend Integration, Design for Test, and Design Verification.

Experience Level

This position is targeted at recent graduates in electrical or computer engineering, seeking to begin their careers in semiconductor and digital design.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities involve:

  • Physical Design (PD): Manage Place & Route implementation, timing/physical signoff, and task automation.
  • Frontend Integration (FEINT): Conduct logical & physical synthesis, timing analysis, and design quality checks.
  • Design for Test (DFT): Implement testing protocols including JTAG, generate test patterns, and improve DFT coverage.
  • Design Verification (DV): Develop and manage simulation or formal verification environments with comprehensive test plans.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for semiconductor design, excellent teamwork abilities, significant analytical skills, a commitment to learning, and the capacity for clear communication.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
