Role Summary

The Graduate SoC Performance Engineer position focuses on enhancing system performance on Arm IPs by collaborating with architects and performance engineers on developing high-performance interconnect IPs. This role involves performance analysis, modeling, and productization of performance models within the Arm ecosystem.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Recent graduates or those on track to graduate with a related degree are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with micro-architects and validation engineers for cycle-accurate timing model development.
  • Creating high-quality models for internal evaluations and customer use.
  • Delivering essential collateral for the development of high-performing systems based on Arm technology.
  • Validating performance expectations and identifying performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

Required qualifications include:

  • A University degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Strong coursework in computer architecture/microarchitecture.
  • Experience with performance modeling and analysis.
  • Proficiency in C++ and experience with Python scripting.

Preferred qualifications that would enhance the application include:

  • Familiarity with SystemC TLM (Transaction-Level Modeling).
  • Knowledge of interconnect designs and protocols like PCIe and CHI.
  • Understanding of performance optimization workloads.
  • Experience in performance verification methodologies and correlating software models to RTL.

Education Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is expected. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
