Role Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced verification engineer for the GFX Verification team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the verification of GPU designs while adapting to evolving project schedules. Teamwork and problem-solving skills are critical in this role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lead architects and block design teams to understand verification requirements.
• Develop robust test plans for synthetic testing and real workload traces.
• Debug verification test failures, working closely with design teams to identify and rectify defects.
• Ensure that AMD’s next generation GFXIP meets performance, power, and functionality expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ASIC verification.
• Proficient in Verilog and System Verilog.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience in Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with ASIC design and debugging Verilog RTL code using simulation/emulation tools.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good English language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Graphics pipeline experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of computer architecture is preferred.
• Self-starter capable of independently driving tasks to completion.
• Excellent communication skills are required.

Education Requirements

B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech degree in ECE/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering with a focus on Digital Systems/VLSI, along with 5+ years of experience.
