GPU ASIC Design Engineer

The Graphics Core IP hardware development department is composed of engineers focused on developing complex graphics processing units. The team is spread across various geographies and works on subsystem development, verification, and project management.

As a Design Engineer at Advanced Micro Devices, you will engage with industry-leading tools and methodologies in developing micro-architecture and digital design blocks for the Graphics Core IP (GFXIP). Collaboration with architects, design engineers, and verification teams is essential to delivering high-quality digital logic designs on schedule. Responsibilities include optimization for performance and power, as well as supporting post-silicon validation.

The ideal candidate will have keen interest and knowledge in Computer Architecture, Digital Logic Design, and Verification. Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary, along with problem-solving abilities in logic design or micro-architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study high-level architectural specifications for Graphics Core IP blocks.
• Collaborate with chip architects to develop micro-architecture specifications.
• Perform digital logic design in Verilog and SystemVerilog, including writing SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA).
• Assist in Formal Property Verification (FPV) to ensure design confidence.
• Work with the verification team to ensure zero post-silicon bug escapes.
