Role Summary
The Frame Design Engineer will support tapeout operations in Bangalore, India, focusing on frame design across various technologies and process improvements. The role involves collaboration with global teams and the use of semiconductor manufacturing tools.
Experience Level
Entry-level; 1+ years of industry experience recommended.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating technology frame requirements and frame generation for chips.
- Using software tools to enhance design process productivity.
- Managing tape out support issue resolutions.
- Interacting with multiple teams to optimize Customer Tape-out Operations experience.
- Improving efficiency and reducing costs while enhancing cycle times.
- Documenting processes and assessing failure modes.
- Ensuring all activities adhere to safety and environmental standards.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree in EE/ECE/CSE/Physics or engineering diploma with relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Unix shells and programming/scripting languages.
- Experience with Cadence Mask Compose and Virtuoso environment is a plus.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work evening shifts (3pm-12am) and provide weekend and holiday coverage.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, or relevant engineering diploma.
