Frame Design Engineer - Tapeout Operations (3pm-12am shift)

The Frame Design Engineer will work in the Global Tapeout and Mask Organization, focusing on supporting tapeout operations activities, frame design, process improvements, and enhancing productivity and quality in chip manufacturing.
Experience Level
Entry-level, with a preference for candidates having 1+ years of industry experience.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include:
- Engaging in daily operational activities including technology frame requirements and frame generation.
- Customizing software tools to enhance design process productivity.
- Managing tape out support issues in alignment with FAB and logistics.
- Collaborating with Application Engineering and Product Engineering teams.
- Participating in team business process assessments and improvements.
- Ensuring well-documented processes and conducting safety activities.
Requirements
Essential qualifications are:
- Bachelor's Degree in EE/ECE/CSE/Physics with 1+ years experience or an engineering diploma with 2+ years experience.
- Proficiency in Unix shells and willingness to learn programming languages.
- Experience with Cadence Mask Compose and Virtuoso will be a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Must be able to work the evening shift (3pm-12am) and cover weekends and holidays as needed.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Physics or an equivalent engineering diploma is required.
