Role Overview

As an FPGA Prototyping/Emulation Engineer at Arm, you will join the FPGA & Emulation team to validate ARM IP and complex RTL Designs early in the process. Your primary role involves building, integrating, and debugging FPGA and emulation systems for various engineering teams.

Position Summary

This position focuses on the intersection of hardware design and verification, where you will streamline pre-silicon development, enhance validation coverage, and boost debugging efficiency.

Experience Level

This role is suited for candidates with a background in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Microelectronics, or related disciplines, with relevant practical experience highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and support FPGA prototypes and emulation platforms for validating Arm IP.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows for FPGA and emulation processes.
  • Debug functional issues and simulation discrepancies in complex systems.
  • Create verification tools such as testbenches or monitors.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in various validation processes.
  • Improve CI/CD infrastructure and integrate emerging automation technologies.

Job Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate understanding of digital logic design, CPU/SoC architecture, and experience with HDL tools like Verilog or SystemVerilog. Familiarity with FPGA technologies, scripting languages (Python, Tcl, etc.), and build systems are essential. Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in automation are beneficial.
