We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our cutting-edge engineering team at Advanced Micro Devices Inc. In this role, you will be focused on FPGA-based prototyping, platform validation, and system bring-up. The ideal candidate will lead the prototyping platforms such as Veloce, proFPGA CS, HAPS, Protium, and ZeBu.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive engineer with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to be effective in a team environment. This person will manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the validation and bring-up of FPGA-based prototyping platforms, ensuring functionality and performance meet design specifications.
  • Work with Emulation and Prototyping platforms to develop and validate complex system prototypes.
  • Collaborate with design and verification teams to integrate and test FPGA prototypes within larger system architecture.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Debug and resolve issues related to FPGA prototypes, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Document validation processes, test results, and provide feedback to design teams for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in FPGA prototyping technologies and methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.

Requirements

  • Education Requirements: BS/MS in Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in FPGA-based prototyping and validation.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping platforms such as Veloce proFPGA CS, HAPS, Protium, proFPGA, and ZeBu.
  • Strong understanding of FPGA architectures and digital design principles.
  • Proficiency in hardware description languages (e.g., VHDL, System Verilog, Verilog) and simulation tools.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or related high-tech sectors.
  • Knowledge of system-level design and integration.
  • Certification in FPGA design or related areas.
