Role Summary
This position serves as a Firmware Verification Manager within the silicon-based Security IP (SECIP) development team. The role involves overseeing the design and verification of embedded micro-processor subsystems and hardware accelerators, focused on improving system performance across various AMD product lines, including client computers and gaming solutions.
Experience Level
Ideal candidates should possess significant expertise in hardware and firmware co-design and verification. Proven managerial experience in leading and mentoring a team is essential, along with a solid record of executing complex verification projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and debugging of firmware and hardware verification models using object-oriented programming techniques.
- Manage the hardware/firmware co-verification process for various embedded microprocessor subsystems, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design specifications and micro-architectures.
- Resolve technical issues, manage debugging processes, and enhance system quality and performance.
- Drive continuous improvements in verification methodologies and work processes.
Requirements
- Proficient in C and C++ programming, with strong skills in object-oriented programming.
- Extensive experience in managing verification firmware development and leading technical teams.
- Strong understanding of embedded microprocessor architectures and debugging techniques.
- Experience with standard bus protocols such as AXI, AHB, and AMBA.
- Prior experience in pre-silicon firmware verification on RTL simulators or FPGA systems.
Education Requirements
BSc or MSc degree in a relevant engineering field with a focus on firmware development for embedded microprocessor subsystems.
