The Firmware Design Intern position at Intel Corporation offers a unique opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. As a member of the Core Group, you'll be involved in developing cutting-edge power-management firmware that enhances CPU performance.
The intern will participate in the entire firmware development cycle, from simulation and emulation to board bring-up activities. This role requires collaboration with various teams including Architects, verification, integration, and tools, focusing on innovative solutions in micro-architecture design and C/C++ coding.
This role is designed for students, ideally with a minimum of 4 semesters completed in their degree program. The position requires a commitment to work at least 27 hours a week during regular business hours.
Applicants must be pursuing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in relevant fields. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and be a fast learner. Additional desirable qualifications include experience in firmware/hardware validation, real-time embedded firmware development, and programming in C++ and/or Python, as well as familiarity with CPU architecture.
Current students in B.Sc. or M.Sc. programs related to Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
