EW Embedded Software Engineer

Role Summary

As an EW Embedded Software Engineer at RTX, you will contribute technically across multiple Electronic Warfare (EW) and Radio Frequency (RF) sensing projects. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing applications and prototype systems, collaborating with experts in signal processing and firmware development.

Experience Level

This position is intended for candidates with a Master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing new applications and prototype systems.
• Collaborating with a team of signal processing algorithm developers and hardware designers.
• Managing significant portions of the embedded code base and becoming a subject matter expert.
• Elevating software development practices within the team.
• Participating in laboratory and field tests to analyze data and test new capabilities.

Requirements

To qualify, you must have:

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python/MATLAB.
• Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and embedded development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel overnight as required.

Education Requirements

MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with at least 3 years of experience, or a BS in the same fields with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
