Role Summary

The position calls for a talented Emulation/Prototyping FPGA Engineer who will be an integral part of a dedicated engineering team. The candidate will utilize their software systems engineering expertise to contribute to product development and problem resolution during SOC program phases.

Experience Level

This role is aimed at professionals with 7-8 years of relevant experience who have deep knowledge of emulation and prototyping using industry-leading tools.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Driving technical innovation to enhance AMD’s validation capabilities through tool and script development and improving methodologies.
  • Debugging issues during the SOC program phases of bring-up, validation, and production.
  • Collaborating with multiple teams, ensuring that all features are validated and optimized on time.
  • Engaging in software/hardware modeling frameworks and leading cross-functional collaborations.

Requirements

Prospective candidates must have:

  • 7-8 years of experience in Emulation/Prototyping utilizing Cadence/Synopsys/Siemens tool flows.
  • Strong understanding of Verilog and System Verilog, along with digital design.
  • Extensive debugging knowledge, proficiency in programming/scripting languages (C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python).
  • Familiarity with SOC architecture, ARM protocols (AXI, APB), FPGAs, and common lab equipment.
  • Proven capabilities in board/platform debugging and validation strategy, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to drive tasks independently to completion.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
