Role Summary
The person will be part of AMD's CPU Silicon Emulation team. This team plays a critical role in next generation AMD CPU design, involving a deep understanding of AMD X86 CPU architecture and microarchitecture. The candidate will debug emulation issues of RTL and provide feedback to the design team in a pre-silicon and emulation environment.
Experience Level
8-15 years of experience in processor/ASIC design verification.
Responsibilities
- Experience working in emulation and silicon environments.
- Debugging low level software and hardware issues.
- Experience with debugging tools including JTAG and kernel debuggers.
- Knowledge of CPU and SoC architectures.
- Basic understanding of power and performance.
- Experience with programming in C.
- Experience with pre-silicon enablement and bring-up.
- Expertise in Verilog / SystemVerilog.
- Validation and debugging of digital circuits.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and TCL.
- FPGA expertise with Cadence/Xilinx/Intel FPGAs and tools.
