Electrical Engineer

Renesas is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer for their memory interface products, focused on developing digital sections of memory data buffer chips for DDR5 and DDR6, targeting AI and cloud computing datacenters.
Experience Level
Entry-level; candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with up to 2 years of experience, or a recent master's graduate with no experience.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Verification of DDR5 Data Buffer to meet functional and performance specifications.
- Integration and testing at system and block level using UVM methodology.
- Support in developing verification plans based on specifications.
- Manage verification planning, maintenance, feature extraction, and development of tests and coverage.
- Develop verification environments and testbench structures.
- Optimize solutions for design reusability and performance.
- Communicate improvements that may enhance verification processes.
- Manage verification environments for assigned blocks as an expert user.
Requirements
Must-have skills and qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Up to 2 years of experience or a recent master's degree.
- Ability to drive the memory interface products verification effort.
- Experience working with design teams to ensure testability and design requirements compatibility.
- Strong capabilities in quality control for verification test planning.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to improve verification processes.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; a recent master's degree is also acceptable.
