DSP Specialist - Field Application Engineer

Role Summary

The role of DSP Specialist - Field Application Engineer at AMD involves engaging with customers to optimize DSP-based designs for AMD Embedded systems. This position is mainly remote, allowing applicants from any US city with airport access, preferably within the Southwestern US. The engineer will liaise with customers and AMD's factory experts to enhance AMD Embedded solutions in customer projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise for applications including RADAR, communications, and image processing.
• Train and support customers in utilizing AMD DSP development tools and technologies.
• Lead technical efforts to strategize on design opportunities and ensure client success.
• Analyze client needs to propose optimal AMD solutions against competitor offerings.
• Develop and present technical proposals and demonstrations to various stakeholders.
• Create proof-of-concept DSP designs that highlight AMD's technological advantages.
• Gather and relay customer feedback to internal AMD teams.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with proven experience in DSP architecture and support. Knowledge of EDA tools, programming languages such as C/C++, and familiarity with DSP concepts are essential. Applicants should also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
