DSP Specialist - Field Application Engineer

Role Summary

The DSP Specialist - Field Application Engineer will handle DSP-based designs to support AMD Embedded customers. This remote role allows candidates from any US city close to an airport, preferably within the Southwestern US, to apply.

Experience Level

We are looking for candidates with demonstrated expertise in digital signal processing and architectural design within the tech field.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

• Providing technical expertise for applications such as RADAR and image processing.
• Offering support and training to customers on AMD DSP development tools.
• Developing winning design strategies through customer engagement.
• Conducting comparative analyses between AMD and competitive solutions.
• Collaborating with teams to produce technical proposals.
• Coding and demonstrating proof of concept DSP designs.
• Preparing presentations on AMD Embedded products.
• Providing feedback to management regarding customer needs.

Requirements

Qualified applicants should possess:

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with DSP architecture and design support, with FPGA knowledge as a plus.
• Proficient in EDA tools for DSP design, including Matlab and Simulink.
• Familiarity with DSP design methods and practices.
• Understanding of VHDL or Verilog for ASIC and FPGA.
• Experience programming in C or C++, with knowledge of TCL or Python as a bonus.
• Communication skills and an ability to work effectively in groups.
• Openness to learning additional relevant technologies.

Education Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required.
