Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Digital Design Engineer will design and develop digital integrated circuits, focusing on industry-standard interfaces and complete digital design workflows. This role involves ownership of small projects and modules while enhancing technical expertise and project execution skills.

Experience Level

Entry-level (0-2 years of relevant experience)

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform independent RTL design and verification of digital modules.
  • Execute complete digital design flow from specification to implementation.
  • Conduct synthesis and timing analysis for assigned circuit blocks.
  • Design and implement industry-standard interfaces (I2C, SPI, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met.
  • Document design specifications and test results comprehensively.

Requirements

Must-have skills include:

  • Proficient understanding of digital circuits with the ability to independently design basic modules.
  • Practical experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog for implementing and verifying RTL designs.
  • Competent use of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools for digital design and simulation.
  • Ability to perform basic timing closure on digital designs through Static Timing Analysis (STA).
  • Working knowledge of common digital interface protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Applied scripting skills for design automation and workflow enhancement.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
