Design Engineering Intern
Role Summary
The Cadence Tensilica CPU Processor Team is hiring engineering interns to join their R&D team in Cork, Ireland. Interns will work on the RTL implementation of microprocessor cores and subsystems while contributing to major applications across several sectors such as IoT and ML/AI.
Experience Level
Internship - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
Responsibilities
Interns will perform key responsibilities including:
- RTL implementation of microprocessor cores and subsystems.
- Simulating and debugging functions.
- Running synthesis, place & route, and EDA scripts to meet design goals.
- Assisting in developing test plans and writing functional diagnostics.
- Analyzing coverage information and collaborating with design verification teams.
Requirements
Must-have skills include:
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar major.
- Deep understanding of Digital Design Fundamentals.
- Excellent automation skills using Tcl, Perl, shell scripting.
- Strong communication skills.
- Exposure to design automation tools is a plus.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
