Data Center Pre-Si FPGA Development Intern

Role Summary

The Data Center Pre-Si FPGA Development Intern will assist in the functional logic verification of silicon designs, ensuring compliance with specifications and architectural requirements. This role entails supporting the creation and execution of verification plans, development of test benches, and enhancement of verification environments while collaborating with experienced engineers.

Experience Level

Internship level; currently pursuing a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Contributing to functional logic verification to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Supporting the development of verification plans, test benches, and verification environments.
• Assisting in simulation and emulation activities for functionality validation.
• Participating in debug and root-cause analysis, implementing corrective measures.
• Collaborating with architecture and design teams to maintain functional correctness.
• Learning and applying verification methodologies and tools through project work.
• Engaging in projects that support Intel’s business goals.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field (at least 50 percent of courses completed).
• 3+ months of experience in digital design and hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL, or System Verilog).
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C, C++, Python, Perl, or Java).
• At least 1 month of experience executing commands at a command prompt.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Permanent right to work in Mexico (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of computer architectures and Linux OS.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field.
