CPU Design Verification Lead

Role Summary

The primary responsibility is to oversee the verification of new and existing features for AMD's graphics processor IP, ensuring the absence of bugs in the final design.

Experience Level

7+ years of experience in CPU verification, with a solid understanding of digital systems and computer architecture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, hardware, and firmware engineers to understand the features that need verification.
• Develop test plan documentation considering various interactions.
• Estimate time for writing new feature tests and alterations to the test environment.
• Create directed and random verification tests.
• Analyze test failures to identify root causes; work with engineers to fix design issues.
• Review code coverage metrics and adjust tests to meet coverage requirements.

Requirements

Strong skills in Verilog, System Verilog, and C++. Familiarity with shell and Perl scripting is beneficial. Ability to multitask effectively and communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms is essential.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
