Role Summary

The CPU Core Pre-Silicon Validation/Verification Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that CPU designs meet specified requirements through a detailed verification process. The primary duties involve functional verification, developing verification plans, and collaborating with various technical teams to optimize performance.

Experience Level

This position is intended for individuals who possess either a Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6 months of experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional verification of CPU logic to meet specifications.
  • Develop IP verification plans and test environments to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Execute verification plans and analyze system simulation models.
  • Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in pre-silicon environments.
  • Implement corrective measures for failing tests.
  • Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams for improved verification.
  • Document test plans and drive technical reviews with design teams.
  • Maintain and enhance existing functional verification infrastructure.
  • Participate in defining architectural features of the CPU.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field with at least 1 year of experience, or a Master's Degree with 6 months of relevant experience. Familiarity with pre-silicon verification processes, programming languages such as C/C++, and simulation tools like System Verilog/Verilog/VHDL is essential.
