CPU Core Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The CPU Core Design Verification Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality of advanced microprocessor designs. This position involves the development and implementation of test models to verify processor designs in collaboration with other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct verification for blocks or cores to validate design accuracy.
• Collaborate with RTL engineers for optimal logic design that enhances clock gating.
• Create tests, sequences, and testbench components using C++, x86, SystemVerilog, and UVM.
• Ensure thorough verification quality metrics are maintained.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
• Familiarity with modern processor micro-architectures.
• Experience with RTL languages such as VHDL/Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Knowledge of verification libraries like UVM.
• Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, or Ruby is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
