Role Summary
As an Atom CPU Layout Design Engineer at Intel, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the physical design of next-generation Intel Atom microprocessors. Your work will involve ensuring high-quality implementations across complex design challenges.
Experience Level
This position is targeted for experienced hires, specifically requiring at least 6 months of layout design experience.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving physical implementations of memory compilers and custom IP blocks.
- Performing complex physical design tasks throughout multiple design stages.
- Collaborating with circuit design engineers to optimize physical layouts from schematics.
- Contributing to the design flow from leaf-level to top-level integrations.
- Enhancing layout scripts and automation solutions for increased productivity.
Requirements
The minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 months of experience in layout design.
- Advanced level of English proficiency.
- Unrestricted right to work in Mexico.
Preferred qualifications consist of:
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience with VLSI and CMOS logic design.
- 2+ years of working knowledge in Unix/Linux systems.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree preferred for higher competitiveness in the role.
