Role Summary

As an Applications Engineering Engineer at Synopsys, you will focus on supporting customers through the digital backend design flow, leveraging your technical expertise in VLSI concepts and implementation tools.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in enabling and troubleshooting the digital BE design flow.
• Run and support Fusion Compiler (FC) implementation flows, including setup, execution, and analysis.
• Assist customers with tool usage, flow understanding, and best practices for backend implementation.
• Analyze design issues and provide clear, practical guidance for resolving technical challenges.
• Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and track resolution of tool or flow-related issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of backend flows, methodologies, and customer support processes.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of VLSI concepts and digital backend design flow.
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with Fusion Compiler (FC) implementation.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with or willingness to learn TCL scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn complex tools and flows quickly.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
