Role Summary
This role involves providing expert technical support for Synopsys Implementation products, guiding customers through the RTL-to-GDS design flow, and helping resolve complex issues related to synthesis and place-and-route. The position is geared towards professionals with extensive experience in physical implementation and a deep understanding of Synopsys tools.
Experience Level
We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Physical Implementation RTL-GDS. A background in chip design, particularly at lower nodes such as 7nm, will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Drive adoption of Synopsys Implementation products by offering technical guidance during the RTL-to-GDS flow.
- Diagnose synthesis and place-and-route challenges with a focus on customer designs.
- Engage in technical campaigns to enhance the usability of Synopsys solutions.
- Collaborate with R&D to influence product roadmap based on customer feedback.
- Create and maintain technical articles to aid customers in troubleshooting.
- Provide training and support on new product methodologies to customers.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in implementation methodologies and hands-on experience with Synopsys Fusion Compiler.
- In-depth understanding of RTL-to-GDS methodologies, including synthesis, place & route, and timing analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Unix shell, Perl, and Python.
- Experience in low-power flows and static timing analysis is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in customer-facing roles being a plus.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience for B-Tech graduates or 3 years for M-Tech graduates, specifically in semiconductor design and implementation.
