The Analog Design Staff Engineer at Synopsys is responsible for designing and developing complex analog circuits for high-speed communication systems. Experience Level
Mid-level with a minimum of 5 years of experience for M.Sc. holders or 3 years for Ph.D. holders in Electrical Engineering.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop medium to large complexity analog circuits for high-speed SerDes products.
- Coordinate and mentor analog designers to ensure robust circuit development.
- Define and plan analog design activities with clear milestones.
- Prepare and conduct technical design reviews.
- Evaluate the impact of layout parasitics and collaborate with layout teams.
- Perform silicon correlation with simulation results.
- Engage with a global and multi-cultural R&D team.
Requirements
Essential qualifications include:
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years (M.Sc.) or 3+ years (Ph.D.) of experience in CMOS analog circuit design.
- Familiarity with industry-standard IC design packages and EDA tools.
- Experience with UNIX and scripting for design automation.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proven mentorship abilities and experience leading design activities.
- System-level knowledge of SerDes architecture is a plus.
Education Requirements
M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
