Role Summary

The Analog Design Sr. Staff Engineer leads the development of advanced mixed-signal and analog solutions, focusing on SERDES technology. The role requires a deep technical understanding along with the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve high-performance design goals.

Experience Level

Senior-level, requiring either a Ph.D. with 6+ years or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of related experience in analog IC design.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Reviewing SERDES standards to create innovative transceiver architectures.
• Architecting circuit solutions for power efficiency and performance breakthroughs.
• Collaborating with various engineering teams to optimize design strategies.
• Presenting simulation data within teams and to external stakeholders.
• Overseeing physical layout to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Documenting design features and creating comprehensive test plans.
• Consulting on electrical characterization and analyzing customer silicon data.

Requirements

The following are necessary qualifications for this role:

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in transistor-level circuit design and CMOS fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with SERDES sub-circuits.
• Proficiency with design tools and SPICE simulators.
• Knowledge of reliability effects and experience in analog/digital co-design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Education Requirements

A Ph.D. with 6+ years or an M.Sc. with 8+ years in relevant fields such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
