Role Summary
As a Summer Intern in the Data Fabric team at AMD, you will work at the forefront of microprocessor development and verification. This internship provides exposure to cutting-edge technologies and an environment where you can enhance your skills and impact the next generation of computing.
Experience Level
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program at a Romanian-based university in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required for this internship role.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the design and pre-silicon verification of microprocessor IP and components.
- Developing, executing, and documenting verification test plans.
- Building and debugging SystemVerilog testbenches including stimulus, monitors, and checkers.
- Anayzing simulation results and debugging RTL and testbench issues.
- Collaborating closely with design, verification, and architecture teams.
- Enhancing verification and development flows through scripting and automation.
- Gaining comprehensive exposure to the full integrated circuit design lifecycle.
Requirements
Applicants are encouraged to have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as C++, System Verilog, TCL, Python, Perl, and Shell.
- Exposure to Digital Circuit Design using VHDL or Verilog.
- Knowledge of verification methodologies including UVM.
- Understanding of digital systems and computer architecture.
- Familiarity with EDA tools such as Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or Xilinx is a plus.
- Experience with development and debugging in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Education Requirements
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline at a Romanian university.
