Verification and Validation Engineer - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Develop and execute verification and validation activities for NVIDIA CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs, focusing on ASIC build, architecture, and micro-architecture. Define verification scope, create test plans, and build verification infrastructure.

Work closely with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon teams to ensure functional correctness and memory coherency across systems.

Experience Level

Entry-level (New college graduate).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing tests, building verification infrastructure, and coordinating verification efforts across teams.

• Define verification and validation scope and develop test plans for ASIC builds and micro-architectures.
• Develop test generators to validate CPU–GPU interactions, memory coherency, and consistency.
• Implement and maintain verification infrastructure and tools using modern methodologies.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification and validation teams to diagnose and resolve issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and relevant experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.

• Must-have: Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting (Python, Perl, shell).
• Must-have: Strong background in computer architecture and memory models.
• Must-have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a distributed team.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with verification tools and platforms (VCS, emulation, FPGA, debug tools).
• Nice-to-have: Experience building verification infrastructure and test generators.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
