UVM SystemVerilog Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join the verification team at AirSpan Networks to develop and execute UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches and automation for FPGA and ASIC designs used in 4G/5G network products. The role works closely with design and system engineers to validate functionality, performance, and reliability against specifications.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities focus on building UVM-based verification environments and executing verification cycles to find and help resolve design defects.

  • Develop and implement UVM verification plans and test strategies for FPGA/ASIC designs.
  • Create SystemVerilog testbenches, testcases, and automation frameworks.
  • Execute functional, system-level, and regression tests and analyze results.
  • Debug issues, collaborate with design teams to isolate and resolve defects.
  • Maintain documentation, test reports, and defect tracking records.
  • Optimize verification processes, tools, and coverage to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience, followed by concise nice-to-have items.

  • 10 years of UVM-based verification experience for FPGA systems.
  • Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ModelSim or QuestaSim.
  • Proficiency in scripting for automation (Python or Perl).
  • Experience with C/C++ and implementing bit-accurate models; DSP debugging experience.
  • Familiarity with coverage metrics, debugging tools, and formal verification techniques.
  • Knowledge of O-RAN architecture and protocols for 4G/5G networks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience verifying communication protocols.
  • FPGA development experience and HDL knowledge (VHDL/Verilog).
  • Hardware/software co-verification and general design experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
