Job Title

UVM SystemVerilog Verification Engineer

Role Summary

As a UVM SystemVerilog Verification Engineer on the ASIC/FPGA verification team, you will develop and execute UVM-based test plans to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of AirSpan's digital designs for 4G/5G products. You will work with design and development teams to find and resolve defects and improve verification processes.

Experience Level

Senior — approximately 10+ years of verification experience (posting specifies 10 years).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, and executing verification for FPGA and digital hardware:

  • Develop and implement UVM-based verification plans, testbenches, and automation frameworks.
  • Create and run functional, system-level, and regression tests for FPGA/ASIC designs.
  • Debug failures, analyze results, and work with designers to resolve defects.
  • Use and maintain simulation and verification tools; track coverage and defects.
  • Document test procedures, results, and provide verification reports.
  • Optimize test processes and tooling for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience with SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
  • Proven FPGA verification experience, including UVM-based verification of FPGA systems.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools such as ModelSim or QuestaSim.
  • Scripting skills for automation (Python or Perl).
  • Experience with C/C++ and with implementing bit-accurate models and debugging DSP designs.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools, coverage metrics, and formal verification techniques.
  • Knowledge of O-RAN architecture and 4G/5G protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: VHDL/Verilog, FPGA development experience, hardware/software co-verification.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (explicitly stated).
