Job Title

Staff Product Engineer - RF

Role Summary

Senior product engineer responsible for development of RF/microwave products across communications, test & measurement, industrial, and aerospace & defense markets. Works within the RF Systems strategy and Aerospace, Defense and Communication Group to drive product development from concept through production.

Provides technical leadership, coordinates cross-functional teams, and ensures products meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.

Senior β€” typically 10+ years of relevant RF/microwave product development experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver RF/microwave IC and module products through the full product lifecycle; provide technical leadership and mentorship.

  • Lead development of advanced RF/microwave products from concept to launch.
  • Define and drive product test methodologies, verification, and validation activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, test, program management) to meet customer requirements.
  • Create technical documentation: test plans, datasheets, user guides.
  • Maintain project schedules, work breakdown structures, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and export control requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and work eligibility considerations.

  • 10+ years of relevant RF/microwave product engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of RF engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with statistical methods and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro) and common engineering software.
  • Hands-on lab experience using RF/microwave test instruments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently in fast-paced teams.
  • Able to travel up to 10%.

Nice-to-have:

  • Recognized expertise in complex IC design and advanced testing methodologies.
  • Experience with programming/scripting (Python, C, LabVIEW) and data analysis.

Education Requirements
