Sr. Staff Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Member of the Signal Integrity Products group designing high-speed analog and mixed-signal ICs for optical and electrical networks. Responsible for designing, verifying and evaluating advanced high-speed analog circuits using CMOS and BiCMOS technologies.
Work includes hands-on circuit design, lab evaluation, and leading technical direction and mentoring within cross-functional product teams.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include end-to-end IC product development and technical leadership.
- Design high-speed analog ICs from concept through manufacturing and volume production.
- Serve as lead engineer delivering high-performance product designs and architectures.
- Establish and implement architectures and circuits for high-performance systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior design engineers.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, applications, product and test engineering to meet product goals and schedules.
- Assess product feasibility and manage development schedules.
- Prepare technical reviews, documentation, and perform lab evaluation and optimization of high-speed analog circuits.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Design expertise in high-speed CMOS and BiCMOS analog circuits, especially for >200 Gb/s applications.
- Deep knowledge of RF concepts, device models, parasitics and non-idealities affecting circuit performance.
- Experience with circuits such as equalizers, VCOs, PLLs, CDRs, TIAs, laser drivers, SerDes in mixed-signal ICs.
- Proven track record taking high-performance ICs from concept to volume production with commercial success.
- Proficiency with advanced analog CAD tools, particularly Cadence Virtuoso; familiarity with RF modelling tools (EMX or HFSS). Matlab or equivalent system modelling experience is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, BER testers, high-speed oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead technical teams.
Education Requirements
BSc in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering required; Master’s or PhD preferred. The posting specifies at least 7 years of relevant experience in the field.
