Job Title

SoC Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify system-on-chip (SoC) designs for high-performance automotive microcontrollers across the full verification lifecycle. Work on testbench architecture, test plan development, coverage definition, simulation debugging, and cross-functional bug resolution.

Experience Level

Mid-level (5–8 years of SoC verification experience preferred)

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing verification infrastructure, executing test plans, and collaborating with design and specification teams to close issues.

  • Develop testbenches, testcases and checkers to validate design behavior.
  • Debug simulation failures and diagnose design-specification mismatches.
  • Contribute to verification flows and methodology to improve efficiency.
  • Independently manage verification tasks and mentor junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with spec and design teams to identify and resolve bugs.
  • Follow Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements in all activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • 5–8 years of SoC verification experience, including hands-on test development.
  • Proficiency writing tests in SystemVerilog and UVM; strong C programming skills.
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Tcl/Tk, Perl) for automation and tooling.
  • Familiarity with SoC interconnects and bus protocols such as AXI, AHB, APB.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and technical communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative team player with experience mentoring others.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with RISC-V, ARM, and/or MIPS CPU architectures.
  • Knowledge of register description languages (IP-XACT, SystemRDL, UVM RAL).
  • Familiarity with functional safety (ISO 26262), fault injection, UPF, gate-level simulation, or formal verification techniques.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered where indicated.
