Senior VLSI Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Lead SOC/ASIC integration and RTL integration activities for complex networking chips. Work across Physical Design, CAD, Package, Software, DFT and verification teams to prepare designs for tapeout and delivery.
Deliver automation and methodology improvements to enable efficient, high-quality SOC creation.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 7+ years of chip/ASIC design or SOC integration experience.
Responsibilities
The engineer will own chip-level integration tasks and coordinate cross-functional delivery.
- Implement chip-level design through collaboration with Functional Design, DFT, Design Verification, System Verification, STA, and Physical Design teams.
- Perform RTL integration, partitioning, CDC/RDC analysis, and trial synthesis.
- Diagnose and resolve functional and design-quality issues; support emulation and physical-design readiness.
- Execute design-quality checks and support delivery readiness for downstream teams.
- Contribute to flow development and deployment, including automation for integration tasks.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 7+ years of ASIC/chip design or SOC integration experience.
- Hands-on RTL design skills in SystemVerilog.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Tcl.
- Experience with CDC, partitioning, trial synthesis, and design-quality checks.
- Strong collaboration skills working with physical-design, CAD, verification, and firmware teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience delivering designs to physical design, emulation, firmware, or package teams.
- Strong focus on quality and automation-oriented methodology development.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
