Senior VLSI Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Work on system-on-chip (SoC) integration for complex networking/ASIC products within the NVIDIA SoC group. The role focuses on RTL integration, chip build and assembly readiness, padring considerations, and automation of integration flows.
Collaborate with Physical Design, Functional Design, DFT, Design Verification, System Verification, STA, emulation and firmware teams to deliver tapeout-ready designs.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 7+ years of ASIC/SoC design and integration experience.
Responsibilities
Drive chip-level integration and coordinate cross-functional delivery to downstream teams.
- Collaborate with Functional Design, DFT, Design Verification, System Verification, STA, and Physical Design to implement chip-level design.
- Perform partitioning, clock-domain crossing (CDC) analysis, redundancy/cutover (RDC) activities, and trial synthesis.
- Debug functional and structural issues; support emulation and resolve design quality problems.
- Ensure physical-design readiness and coordinate handoff to physical design, emulation, firmware, and DFT teams.
- Participate in development and deployment of integration and automation flows.
Requirements
Core technical skills and practical ASIC/SoC integration experience required.
- 7+ years of practical chip/ASIC design and integration experience.
- Strong RTL design and verification skills in SystemVerilog.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Tcl.
- Experience with synthesis, STA, CDC analysis, emulation, and design-quality checks.
- Experience working cross-functionally and delivering to downstream teams; effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Nice-to-have: experience delivering to physical design, emulation, or firmware customers and a strong focus on quality and automation.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (as stated in the source).
