Senior Test Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Custom and Industrial Power unit in Chandler, AZ as a Senior Test Engineer responsible for developing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions and test hardware for high-volume manufacturing of power management ICs. Work cross-functionally with definition, design, and application engineers to validate product performance, root-cause issues, and improve test processes.
This is a hybrid role based at the Chandler, AZ site; local candidates preferred and no relocation is provided.
Experience Level
Senior β expects 3+ years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor test development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include test program and hardware development, data analysis, and production test support.
- Develop ATE test solutions for power management ICs (buck-boost chargers, PMICs, multi-cell balancing/protection, regulator controllers) for wafer test.
- Create and validate semiconductor test plans that enable high-volume, low-cost production testing.
- Use ATE (Teradyne Flex / IG-XL) to validate designs, develop test programs, and debug failures.
- Analyze test data, generate documentation, and communicate findings to development teams.
- Design and verify test hardware and ensure process guidelines, specifications, and strategies are implemented in test plans and programs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.

Must have: Experience with Teradyne Flex test systems and IG-XL.
- Strong ATE test development and debug skills for analog, digital, and mixed-signal ICs at high parallelism.
- Hands-on use of ATE to develop test programs, collect and analyze data.
- PCB design experience and working knowledge of signal and power integrity principles.
- Experience with schematic, PCB layout and circuit simulation tools such as Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, PSpice, Simplis, LTSpice or equivalents.
- Statistical data analysis skills using tools like Excel, JMP or equivalents.
- Programming experience in high-level languages (Visual Basic, C++ or similar) for test development.
- Ability to use test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies) to debug test setups.
- Knowledge of ATPG, scan chain insertion and DFT development.
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field. The posting specifies 3+ years of related experience.
